Sloan Kettering Project

I was asked to create 8 paintings for the Sloan Kettering hospital in New York. Below you'll see images of all the paintings, details and some installation shots. The paintings are all 40 x 30 inches on wooden panel. My medium is watercolor and resin. With each painting, I start with a layer of watercolor. Followed by a layer of translucent, pigmented resin. Once the resin has dried I continue with watercolor, repeating the steps until the painting feels complete. This way of working allows me to create the transient and light nature that I desire in my work.
