I’m thrilled to introduce The Tulip Collection, a series inspired by the warm, luminous hues found in tulips—vivid oranges, soft yellows, romantic pinks, and deep purples. These new canvas prints are a first for my studio, and they represent a year of thoughtful development. Each piece in this collection is more than a reproduction; it’s an artwork in its own right, hand-embellished to bring a distinctive texture and depth to the final creation.
Rooted in the process of giclée printing, these prints take the vivid detail of my original paintings and transform them into archival canvas prints. Unlike paper prints, which often require framing and glass protection, the canvas medium brings a tactile, accessible quality that feels immediate and alive. Each print is wrapped around a handcrafted wooden panel, ready to hang and brimming with texture—because every print includes hand-applied sand, the same element that gives my original paintings their distinctive surface.
The addition of sand is an exciting element of these editions and it’s integral to the spirit of my work. Sand embodies transformation, echoing the natural erosion and passage of time. Its granular surface interacts with light and shadow, creating a dimensionality that bridges the physical with the atmospheric. By incorporating sand into these prints, I’m able to extend the sensory depth of my paintings into a new form. Each print is an invitation to experience this interplay of texture and imagery.

Every step of the production process for The Tulip Collection happens locally, here in South Carolina. The giclée prints are printed in Hollywood, South Carolina, using archival-quality inks on canvas. The wooden panels that support each print are meticulously crafted by skilled artisans in downtown Charleston. Once the canvas is stretched over the wood frame, the sand is delicately applied to complete the tactile experience. Finally each print hand-varnished to preserve its vibrancy and longevity. The finished pieces are carefully packed and shipped directly from my studio.
This year, we’ve poured ourselves into perfecting the prototypes, researching and experimenting with every detail to ensure they meet the highest standards. From testing different canvas types with varying textures and thicknesses to exploring a range of finish options. Ultimately, we chose a matte finish for its ability to enhance the depth of color while maintaining a soft look that complements the textured surface.
