About the series
"This is a collection of small paintings that explore pattern, texture, and light on a miniature scale. Each painting is built from hundreds of transparent layers of color. I often find that working small demands just as much effort and planning as working on a large canvas. In my process, a small surface allows only limited mark-making before an interesting composition can be lost—that constraint pushes me to weigh the impact of every gesture more carefully."
